No it isnt available but it has been delivered by the coders and is just in final quality testing, from what we were told at the FL seminar.go to the site (see my sig) and watch the webinar this morning u can ask Nigel/Randy there live what the status is. The webiar (free) is a pretty good intro all around. If you like Hawkeye, I strongly suggest considering what I did, which is using a free Ninja Trader 7 from FXCM and bridging the trades to your mt4 accounts. Even with Roadkill, the mt4 iteration of Hawkeye is missing a number of other key (in my view) functions. My workstation running ninja crashed and I wasnt able to get it back up and running for several hours. That 100 pip stop loss is the 'emergency' stop that my nt7 - to - mt4 bridge auto-adds in case of just such an event (so the 100 pip SL sits at the mt4 broker server).

Hi All,I have been monitoring this thread and am considering the Hawkeye Traders package. I am concerned about having to switch trading platforms (I am using MetaTrader now) and I am also very concerned about the bridge software after the recent problems with odysseus11's demo account.BTW odysseus11, I noticed that you changed the description on your myfxbook demo account to 'Daytrading using Hawkeye '.

I thought you and the others in the group here were trading on the day chart? Can you tell me how you are trading Hawkeye now?TIA,Rick. Hi RickI changed the description because that demo account is my intraday trading using Hawkeye and its gearbox and gearchanger and tick charts. For me it is the only way to manually trade intraday. I had been trading using renko and range charts charts for the last year or so.

Hawkeye Trading Method

I absolutely HATE time based charts for intraday trading, and refuse to use them on live money intraday manual trading. HOWEVER, I do also use hawkeye to swing trade 480 minute (8 hour) charts (obviously not intraday). It has been very profitable so far (the swing trading, which I had never been able to successfully do before), made +250 pips last week on 10 trades.Thats why I changed the myfxbook name on the account, because only the intraday trades are in that account.BTW the bridge software didnt crash, it was actually my workstation that crashed which was running Ninja Trader 7. And then the metaquotes 'update' kept my myfxbook from updating, so it was a big mess, but I am hoping that stuff is behind me as its ironed out now - believe me, switching to Ninja Trader for my intraday trading was difficult, I have been (like many here) an MT4 sufferer for 7 or so years now, and most of my funds are STILL with MT4 brokers (hence the use of bridges), but it finally came down to whether or not I want to be profitable going forward. For me, Hawkeye was (and is) worth the switch - NO other software has the gearchanger/gearbox stuff - and you cant get that with the MT4 version.

So it was a personal thing. If you want to trade time charts, and you are happy with the chart times that are available in MT4, you may want to just stay with the MT4 version of Hawkeye. One other MT4 limitation is that even though you can use an offline chart generator to get a time chart in ANY time (you CAN create 8 hour charts, for example), the Hawkeye 'fatman' indicator, (which is an especially well-done version of a relative strength indicator for all currencies, similar to CCFp if u want to google that, but far superior IMO) will NOT run on an offline chart, so you are stuck with the standard mt4 chart times for that, which to me is not optimal.

Hawkeye volume indicator forex

It is WORKABLE but not optimal. Finally, MT4 has no 'scanner' or 'market analyzer' utility, as the other versions have, to help you identify the right opportunities right on one easy tool.Feel free to ask any Hawkeye questions, I will do my best to answer. Hi Rick,Let me tell you my experience with Hawkeye.I bought numerous systems and indis and magics and firecrackers whatever for mt4 for a few years, but I always felt that 'hmm, not bad, but something is missing' and I never was happy with any of those products.

I never liked mt4 at all, I hated it's limitations and the fact, that it's a cooperative product between brokers and metatrader and I also hated the modified data feed.I gave up with systems and started to learn the bare manual price action trading and tried candlestick patterns, Gann, Elliott Wave and such - it was better, but thanks for the kind co-operation of the market makers and the metatrader angels, these gave me a so-so result, which I didn't like enough. I'm really a maximalist, results like 60/40 winloss is just bad for me.I came across the volume / Wyckoff idea and this was the first spark in my trading carrier - I realized that this is something different from any repeating patterns. I started to learn it, first it was so difficult and was hard to understand, but I got used to it, specially with bare volume indicators. One day I got a promotional email / presentation from Nigel Hawkes and his personal adjusted theory of volume. His introductory video was amazing and it was the FIRST advertisement in my life when I didn't have the 'they want to sell something quick and they lie the sky for you' - because the whole presentation was about the real life, he pointed out for the mistakes that most of traders do day by day, he explained Wyckoff's theory, who really invented and started a genius idea - but he had no time to adjust it and make it much better. Good work there HP, yea I believe you are spot on, the only thing cant be done on MT4 is the gearbox/gearchanger and the fatman must use the stock mt4 time frames.Unfortunately, in my view, those are 2 very key elements of the hawkeye toolbox, especially for intraday trading.

For swing trading, the Hawkeye MT4 might be fine and is certainly light years ahead of anything else I have seen for MT4, ever.BTW as I said, MT4 also has no built-in scanning ability to find opportunities, didnt I see you post once before a 'scanner' that you homemade yourself? One final comment, I really have to express my eternal appreciation for Mozola for taking the time to PM me and strongly encourage me to give Hawkeye another look. I had initially passed it by after checking it out a year or so ago, mainly because I could see very quickly that its MT4 version lacked what to me were its best features. It didnt dawn on me until I did a more thorough review (at Mozola's insistence) that Hawkeye was SO worth using it on Ninja and doing whatever I had to do to send my order routing thru MT4. Fortunately several good solutions exist for that.
